It starts with a simple smile or "hello". We are all so connected to our phones that face to face connection can be pushed to the side at times. Take some time to connect with someone and introduce yourself by having a conversation.

How To:

1. Choose someone to introduce yourself to - it could be a new student to your school, someone new in your community, someone you meet at an extracurricular event or maybe someone who you know but have never really had a conversation with.

2. Introduce yourself and find out 3 facts about the other person.

3. Hopefully you can keep this conversation and connection going.

4. Write about your experience and the 3 facts you learned in your journal. You do not have to mention names. If you choose to do so, be sure to ask if they are ok with using their name.
